An annual fundraiser, at least 30 years running, returned to Stark’s Corners United Church on Saturday afternoon, as their tea and bazaar took over the buildings.
Guests could enjoy the baking and crafts of volunteers, plus tea and lunch across the road in the hall, as the 14 members of the United Church Women (UCW) organized the fun.

Long-time UCW member and event organizer Beryl Smart said the event has always received a big turnout of roughly 200 people in recent years, plus the help of many volunteers.
All food is prepared by the UCW and volunteers, with money raised supporting the church and its halls. Smart added that the hall has recently seen a huge renovation to the washrooms, in order to make them more accessible to guests, because of such fundraising events.
“We’re very fortunate that we get such big support from the community,” she concluded.
