A 38-year-old Shawville man was arrested on June 26 in Otter Lake in connection with a fraud and robbery case.
The suspect was reported to have stolen jewellery and credit cards from a residence on Prince Arthur Street. Police say the suspect knew the victim.
The man had three warrants for his arrest when police apprehended him.
When police apprehended the suspect, he was in possession of three wallets, according to Sûréte du Quebec spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier.
In addition to the wallets, police also found an undisclosed amount of money and more than 400 pills at his residence that they believe to be methamphetamine.
The accused appeared in court in Gatineau for the three original warrants, and could face charges related to the pills seized at his residence.

A convenience store on Allumette Island was the target of an armed robbery on June 23.
According to Sûréte du Quebec spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier, two suspects armed with a gun and a knife entered a business on Allumette Island.
The pair demanded money from the cashier and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash to a getaway car driven by a third suspect.
The car was reported stolen the next day and was later found on River Road. Police are examining the car for evidence.
The clerk at the business was unharmed but a customer was injured after attempting to intervene.
The investigation is ongoing.
