ArtPontiac unveiled a new slate of art at Café 349 showcasing the talents of husband/wife duo Eric and Katharine Fletcher. They have opted to entitle the collection Welcome to Our World and offer a wide range of art to inform that description.

Katharine, well known for her well-practiced horse-themed artwork, continues with known representations while also offering a variety of mixed-media pieces leveraging organic material such as leaves and feathers. Her pieces are colourful and whimsical, invite intrigue and are offered as ceramic plates as well as borderless and framed originals.

Not to be out-intrigued, Eric’s pieces are generally “tiny planets”. The technique and technology used to generate these stylistic panoramic photographs emerged around 2015 and Eric has been honing his craft ever since. Seasonal scenes reproduced on framed and unframed canvases over bright and engaging images to tease the imagination.

The show runs through to August 28. The cafe is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Saturday and is located at 349 Main Street, Shawville.
