Dear Editor,
We are a group of young people who want to bring new ideas to our community. We want to work to improve the quality of life in our region by drawing on good ideas from elsewhere. We are between 19 and 23 years old.
We went on an adventure, looking for discoveries, with the program La Défriche of the CJE Pontiac. We visited Magog, Saint-Camille, Rivière-Ouelle, Rivière-du-Loup, and Kamouraska. We saw the St-Lawrence River, impressive mountains and charming little towns. We met interesting people and we discovered original initiatives that made us want to get involved in our region with the same passion.
As good ideas have to spread, we want to share our discoveries with you. You can visit our Instagram page Grande Tournée La Défriche to see our travel album. In addition, our Ideas booklet will be available soon. Each mayor and each municipal director, the RCM, the schools and various organizations will receive a copy. It will also be available in some shops and libraries. Finally, you can find it online on the Facebook page of the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac.
We hope you like seeing our adventure, and that it will light a little spark in all Pontiac people’s hearts, one small town at a time.
