April 19th is the first of many stressful days for expectant mothers in the Pontiac. Indeed, the checkpoints that will be . . .
in place on the various bridges between the Pontiac and Ontario sides of the river are creating a lot of stress for moms who are due to give birth in the near future.
Sadly, Pontiac women still have to travel to give birth. Many of them learned about the roadblocks with great apprehension. Already, the absence of the obstetrical service deprived them of a birth in a familiar environment offering the emotional support of their family, the security of being close to the place of birth and the familiarity of the team that followed the pregnancy. Now they, and their spouses, have to deal with getting the right timing in order to hopefully make it to the hospital in time to give birth.
When will this proximity service return to Shawville?
