The Equity

Dear Editor,
After visiting the farmers’ market at the Shawville fair grounds on July 7:
Q: Why was the Saturday farmers market moved from the usual spacious building, complete with washrooms, to the poultry barn?
A: Because some of the vendor’s (craft) tables were left up between Saturdays.
Q: Were these vendors asked to take down their wares and to set them up the next week?
A: There was no answer.
Q: Where are the people who bring baking?
A: There are feathers in that building. It could never pass inspection.
Q: How does this small dark space serve the vendors, the town and the tourists?
A: It doesn’t.
Q: How does such a fine shopping experience, built up over the years, come to this?
A: ?
Q: Who is accountable?
A: ?
