The Pontiac Reception Centre (CAP) Foundation’s raffle for a new smart TV has finally come to a close, with Bernie and Elaine Findlay of Bristol the lucky winners.

The TV raffle was organized by the Foundation as a fundraiser to help the Shawville long-term care home purchase $30,000 of equipment upgrades needed.

The Foundation began selling tickets for the TV, donated by Norma and Bernie More, in September. The draw was done by CAP Foundation president Katharine Hayes Summerfield and Norma More at the Little Red Wagon Winery during the Dec. 19 Gail Gavan show.

Summerfield said the raffle raised $6,500, before expenses.
