My goodness life is grand with this weather. It is the third week in October and it feels like the middle of summer.
I saw a lot of candidates pounding the pavement this weekend talking to as many residents as possible so we wish them luck. It is nice to see that they are taking it seriously enough to take the time to talk to residents and explain their platform.

Residents of Campbell’s Bay need to be aware now that a couple were broken into while they slept. That’s right, they were there. We always felt so safe in this town and now this. Although they had to do a lot of their own detective work, the culprit was apprehended. This could have been much worse. If they had confronted the guy, who knows what would have happened. I guess now we really must lock all doors and windows and vehicles in the yard. And what were they after? Cash of course and electronics.
Sheila Lawn returned home from spending time with her son and his family in Edmonton, AB. The twin girls are now seven months and just a delight she said, but it is a very busy household.
We need to congratulate another young fellow from our area Chris Morin son of Bruce and Tina, passed his last exam and is now a full fledge plumber. Good for him. Trades people are so much in demand these days.
Sheree Prodan, manager of Depanneur Langford has purchased a house in Campbell’s Bay so we welcome her to town.
We need to send out special get well wishes to Sister Cecile Menard who is in hospital. A special wish to her from her Red Hat sisters and we need to say Happy Birthday to her as well.
A lot of us ladies from town attended the Women’s Wellness evening at the Pontiac Conference Centre. We all enjoyed the buffet meal but cannot say much about the invited speaker. We enjoyed an evening of dinner, a glass of wine and socializing.
Congratulations to Joey Dubeau and Jody Frost who were married on Saturday.
I was speaking to Faye Belanger and she told me Todd, her son had an appointment with his back surgeon in Hull and everything is 100 per cent. She related some funny cat stories as well as she is one of the cat rescuers around. She sure has her time with that but it is rewarding for her.
Happy birthday to everyone celebrating and if it is your wedding anniversary make the daily hug last a bit longer and have a happy day and to all we wish good health.
