Well, the groundhog saw his shadow so that means six more weeks of winter. Soon we will be seeing all those nice flowers peeking through the ground, it will be so nice to see.
It has been such a weird winter with freezing rain etc. This is the first winter that I have had to put my horses in so much at night because of the cold. They would rather be outside.
Congratulations to Leslie McGee on the birth of her beautiful little girl who will be loved by her two little brothers. My daughter Natasha and her husband Sean have been asked to be godparents for this little bundle of joy.
My granddaughter Emily and her cheer team Black Widows had their cheer competition this past weekend and came in second place. They will be heading to Florida in March for another competition.
I talked to my sister Ruth in Alberta this weekend and found out she had a fall but is doing well. They are so good to her at the home she is in.
They had their night snowshoeing this past week-end at Pine Lodge with a lovely meal afterwards. I had gone out skiing that day there and the trails were groomed nicely. I had a nice ski. Even though we had all that rain there still was enough snow to ski around the golf course.
Another event will be taking place Feb. 17 with snowshoeing and skiing starting at 1 p.m. and with all this snow we just got, it should be a lot of fun.
My husband and I went out for breakfast on Sunday at Cartrite’s Restaurant and had a nice breakfast and met a lot of people that we know. I loved the homemade baked beans served with my breakfast.
We had a new addition to Caldwell this weekend. We had a new neighbour who just moved into Dan Johnson’s house. Welcome to the neighbourhood.
I don’t know about the rest of you but I love the snow. That way we can get out and ski and snowshoe. That’s how to pass the winter.
My little Westie will soon have her pups. I am waiting for that exciting day. They are so cute, they almost look like little polar bears.
