Now that Christmas is just around the corner there are lots of craft shows going on in the valley. They just had another one at Pine Lodge which turned out quite well.
I went to Bristol Ridge Church yesterday. It was a very nice service with lots of singing and a good sermon by Dana Visneskie, a very good preacher. Also there was a nice lunch with turkey and the works cooked by Gerald Dagg, along with lots of other goodies supplied by the parishoners. The decorating of the church was done by Florence Sharpe which was done very nicely. It was nice to see a lot of these people that I haven’t seen for a while. Also Ronnie Sharpe celebrated his birthday and also his wife Florence. Someone else from the valley, Ray Coulas just turned 99. She used to live down the road from us. I heard that Richard Roy is in the hospital, hoping he gets better soon. Ronnie Orr is back home doing better. Sorry to hear that Donald Duff has passed away. This is never easy for the family. My grand-daughter Emily was suppose to go to a cheerleader competition in Oshawa next weekend but because she has a concussion from her last cheer session with one of the flyers falling on her, she has to miss out as she is still having problems from this but I guess this is one of the things that can happen. I walked my foal down the road yesterday and she is getting better with the traffic but I must thank all those that do slow down whenever they see us on the road, very thoughtful.
I talked to my brother Donnie in Peterborough this week and he is doing well and told me that him and his wife will be taking a Norwegian cruise in February. So glad that the strike is over for the colleges so my grand-daughter and many others can get back to their studies.
