Well, spring is in the air.
We had a lovely ski loppet and snowshoe event at Pine Lodge on Feb. 17 with Ski Pontiac run by Connie Renaud and Shirley Russell. Hot chocolate was served later on in Pine Lodge by the owners. There was also a draw with some nice gifts. Whenever you like winter and getting out to ski, skate, etc., you kind of hate for it all to end, however it is nice to look forward to seeing all the lovely flowers.
I want to wish my sister Ruth a happy birthday as on Feb. 20 she will be turning 73. How time flies.
So far the Canadians are doing quite well in the Olympics.
I also would like to welcome our new neighbours who moved into Dan Johnson’s house. It’s a small world as the owner works with my nephew Shane in Ottawa.
My daughter and her husband are enjoying a week in Costa Rica celebrating 20 years of marriage.
It looks like we are going to get a lot of rain this week hopefully it won’t be freezing rain.
My Westie Bella had four pups on Valentine’s Day. What cute little guys they are. They look like little polar bears.
I also would like to wish my friend Sharon Gowling a speedy recovery after falling on the canal and breaking a bone.
