My daughter-in-law decided she would stay up to see the total eclipse of the moon recently. Next day, when I asked her how it went she said in a disappointed voice, ‘I was watching and then the clouds came over and I couldn’t see a thing.’ It got me thinking.
I believe that God is working in every situation I call out to him for. I have seen Him do things that only He could do. Yet recently I found myself losing hope, doubting. Why? Where was my faith? Then it dawned on me. I had been listening to a lot of negative talk, so much seemed to be going wrong, and like the cloud covering the moon, I couldn’t see the truth anymore. It was hidden. I let what I see, dictate what is. Never a good idea! Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
