Motorcycle accident leaves woman in hospital

A woman in her 50’s was sent to an Ontario hospital with life-threatening injuries on July 13, when another vehicle failed to stop. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

A 55-year-old woman from Rigaud, Quebec is in serious but stable condition in hospital after a vehicle collided with her motorcycle.
The accident happened at the corner of Hwy. 148 and ch. Pembroke on Allumettes Island on July 13.
Four motorcycles were driving on Hwy 148 when a vehicle turned in front of them from ch. Pembroke.
One of the motorcyclists was hit by the vehicle and taken to hospital.
An investigation is ongoing and it is unclear if charges will be laid against the driver in the vehicle.

Outstanding warrants lead to arrest in Clarendon
Police also responded to a call from Gatineau Police that two people who had warrants for their arrest were in the Pontiac.
Several police cars sped through Shawville on July 12 on their way to make the arrests at a property on rte. 303 in Clarendon.
