Thanks to a newly-revised Quebec government regulation, two groups have been mandated to find candidates for a committee tasked with improving healthcare for Quebec’s English community.
The Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN) and the Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN) are looking for candidates to sit on the Provincial Committee on the Dispensing of Health and Social Services in the English Language.
The committee’s mandate is to help approve, oversee and evaluate how the province’s health and social services are delivered in English.
QCGN and CHSSN are looking for candidates who can help ensure broad access to the provincial healthcare system in the English language.
“This represents an extraordinary occasion for community members who want to make a real and lasting difference to improve access to crucial services for our English-speaking communities,” said the head of QCGN’s Eric Maldoff Health and Social Services Committee in a press release.
There are 11 positions that need to be filled and the nomination deadline is June 22.
