The Campbell’s Bay – Litchfield Fire Department held their 61st annual firemen’s ball on May 12, seeing around 100 in attendance.
Amongst the group, a long list of department members received awards for their service, with the chief honoured for dedicating many years to the department.
Chief Kevin Kluke received not only his recognition for 35 years of service, but also received an award for 25 years as chief.

Also receiving awards for years of service were Denis Dubeau, for 25 years, and Terry Racine, for his 15 years of service. All three recipients marked these achievements in 2017 and received their awards that evening.
As well, more than 10 bars and medals were distributed that evening. Alain Dubeau, Denis Dubeau, Ken Legarde and Jean-Pierre Landry all received medals for 20 years.
Kluke, Keith Racine, Todd Vibert, Pat Shea, James Morin and Lincoln Smith were all recognized with their first bar, for 30 years.
Noel Kelly received his second bar for 40 years and Lionel Gravelle was presented with his third bar, for 50 years. All of these Exemplary Service Medals were achieved at different points, over the last decade.
Money raised by the evening will help support various purchases for the department.
