Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the young hockey players and others in Saskatchewan who were killed in that terrible bus accident. When their pictures were shown on TV it was hard to hold back the tears. It is a terrible loss to the whole country.
We are sill waiting for spring and to see our first robin. I usually get a phone call from people when they see them arrive but so far, no calls. Last week’s snowstorm was bad for this time of the year. I was talking with Allison Corrigan and he remembers a snowstorm in 2001 when a chip truck ran off the Danford Lake Road with a load of chips and upset.

Get well wishes to Elgin Graham who has been in hospital this past weekend. We wish him a speedy recovery.
My husband Tom is slowly recovering after his fall down the stairs. His ribs are still quite sore. The scrapes and bruises are clearing up. I guess being a diabetic it takes longer.
Sunday morning I woke up with the flu and Monday I still had it. Tom and I were going out for supper on Sunday for our 18th anniversary but we were both unable to go, maybe next year.
I guess the people making maple syrup are having cold weather for the sap to run. It is running where the sunny side is. The cold wind usually slows the sap from coming up. This week it is supposed to be warmer by Wednesday.

Don’t forget cards and darts in Otter lake at the R.A. Centre. Cards are on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. and darts are on Thursday at 7 p.m. and the new game Pétanque Atout is on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The people who have tried this new game really like it.
