L’EntourElle held their second annual Women’s Show on March 30 at the Spruceholme Inn in Fort Coulonge, showcasing Pontiac’s female vendors, while enjoying many different shows throughout the evening. Comedian Geneviève Gagnon was a returning favourite and had the crowd of 250 on their feet cheering as she took the stage.

Close to 250 women packed the hall of the Spruceholme Inn last Friday, when a local women’s shelter brought in a popular Quebec comedian to entertain at their second annual gathering.
L’EntourElle’s 2018 Women’s Show saw many vendors line the hall, as women from all over the Pontiac joined together and enjoyed an evening of shopping, fashion and a comedy show with Geneviève Gagnon.
“It’s a chance to have a fun night for the ladies in the Pontiac,” said Ashley Nadeau, one of the event organizers from L’EntourElle.
Bringing back everything popular from last year, including the comedy stylings of Gagnon, the group saw 12 vendors participate, plus over 230 guests join them.

The crowd was on their feet as Gagnon took the stage, with everyone cheering and clapping as she kicked off the evening’s festivities shortly around 7 p.m. Focusing her show around being a modern-day woman, the crowd was enthusiastic and excited for her performance.
Nadeau said another reason their show continues to be popular is because it supports Pontiac businesses, specifically women entrepreneurs. All the vendors’ kiosks showcased the local talents and entrepreneurial spirit of women, from photography through to natural remedies and much more.
On top of showcasing local Wonder Women, Nadeau said the event is great for their cause as L’EntourElle continues to raise awareness to the issue of domestic violence. Last year, the show raised $3,000 for the shelter.
Nadeau continued to say that the event last year had received such great praise from the attendees that it would have been missed if the show did not return.
“They just enjoyed that it was all about women, for women, in the Pontiac,” said Nadeau.
