The sun is shining, the snow is melting and good things must be on the way.
There is not much news again this week but there are a few things.
I still don’t know anything about the Junction Restaurant. It is still closed so we will wait and see. It would be nice to have a restaurant downtown again but we’ll wait and see.
A lot of people gather at the Legion on Thursday afternoon for euchre. Speaking of the Legion, their poster is out for their St. Patrick’s Day party that will be held at the RA Hall again this year. It starts at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Let’s hope they have as good a turn out as last year.
March break will soon be here so I hope for nice weather so the kids will get lots of fresh air.
We still have people on our sick list so we wish them all the best.

I forgot to mention last week about the passing of a former Campbell’s Bay person, Dan Gravelle who was the brother of Annette Lariviere and Lionel Gravelle. His service was held in Campbell’s Bay on Feb. 9.
We also received news of the passing of Denis Lepine formerly of Campbell’s Bay. Denis was a very kind and gentle man. After his retirement he gave a lot of his time to our parish. He was a great aid to Father Basil Tanguay.
Speaking of Father Tanguay, he is having a great travel adventure this winter following his retirement. I saw a few of the pictures he has sent.
Phillippe and Suzanne Pilon returned from a trip to South Africa where they had an amazing time. They both agreed and shared that the country is beautiful and totally out of this world. The pictures of the wild animals were just amazing and it is hard to believe that you can come that close. I suppose we could all put a visit there on our bucket list, eh?
My husband and nine other men returned from a snowmobiling trip to the Gaspé. They enjoyed a great trip with no mishaps. The landscape and scenery there on a snowmobile is just fantastic. Been there done that, with another couple, years ago.
Myles and Marsha Richardson and Pat and Donna Amyotte enjoyed a trip to Jamaica and Pat and Roxanne Shea went to Aruba for their holiday.
My new friend, Mrs. Lois Crick called me last week for a chat and that was very nice. She hopes to make it to the Shawville Jamboree again this summer for the gospel hour on Sunday morning which she thoroughly enjoyed last summer. As a matter of fact that is where I met her.
Well, I guess I have bent your ears enough for this week except to say happy birthday to anyone celebrating and also a happy anniversary and as I mentioned earlier get well wishes to everyone under the weather.
