Well, this week I have a few things I can report on.
St. Joseph’s Manor held their Valentine’s Brunch on Sunday. It was very well attended. I can vouch for that, as I attended. The food was delicious. They did not run out of anything and it was very well presented. Congratulations to them on a job well done.
There is more good news coming from there. It looks like an expansion is in the works. It is needed as they always have a long waiting list. The residents are all happy to tell you how well they are there and you can see it in their faces.
The Lions Club held their annual Valentine’s fundraiser. This year it was dinner and a comedy show. It was well attended. The dinner was served at the table so you did not have to stand in line. It was catered by the Voyageur Restaurant and in my opinion it was good. Hey, when I don’t have to decide what to cook, and cook it and I get served what is there to complain about? I hope it was a success for the Lions as this is their big fundraiser of the year.

I think I am figuring out why there is no news to report on. It is because they put everything on Facebook and if you do not do Facebook you don’t hear anything, because when you say to someone “Oh I had not heard” the reply is always the same (Well it was on Facebook) What about our shut-ins and seniors who don’t have a computer or a tablet? Don’t they have the pleasure of being able to read things in the local papers? Where is life going, people don’t even talk to each other face to face. Sad.
Looks like we may enjoy a new pharmacy. Julie Jones has something in the works. Good luck to her. The Junction Restaurant is still closed. I guess we will soon know what is going to happen there. Whatever it is, it will be welcomed.
Well, I don’t have much else but I do hope everyone stays well. Apparently the cold that is out there is bad and very hard to get rid of and the cough is very bad.
To everybody dealing with issues we wish you all the best and happy birthday to those celebrating this week and also happy anniversary to the lucky couples.
It’s Valentine’s Day this week so the morning kiss and hug can be a bit longer and we hope everyone enjoys their day. Cupid’s love arrow you don’t want to dodge, enjoy it.
Happy Valentine’s day everyone and its also the beginning of Lent so eat those chocolates up fast and get rid of the temptation.
