A cheery hello, thoughts and prayers are with Nicky Caldwell of Embrun, Ont. our grandson Benjamin’s little friend.
On Tuesday evening, we took in a hockey game in Cobden, Ont., where our grandson Alex’s hockey team The Eastern Ontario Double A Cobras played against the Upper Ottawa Valley Aces. Unfortunately they lost 4-1, but it was nice to be able to see him play as we do not have the opportunity to see too many games because of the distance.
Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the Dickson family in the recent passing of Rosaleen Dickson (nee Leslie) former owner of THE EQUITY.
Well, Larry sure celebrated his birthday. On Thursday he received several phone calls and in the afternoon, a visit from Aunt Libby Ethier, cousins Lorna Turner and Charlie Ethier. In the evening, he enjoyed a tasty supper and birthday cake with our dear friends at the Waltham Station. On Friday evening, Mike, Jodi, Alex, Mikaela and Ben surprised him and came up from Embrun and joined Rhonda, Jacob, Bella, Larry and I and we celebrated at L’Ancienne Banque in Chapeau. We had a lovely meal and birthday cake.
Our sweet little neighbour Katie Rochon is celebrating her 9th birthday on Feb. 3. Enjoy your special day Katie.
Birthday wishes are extended to Paul Romain, who is also celebrating his birthday on Feb. 3.
Warm birthday wishes are extended to Gail Romain-McDonald who is celebrating a birthday on Feb. 4.
Several people here in Waltham have flown down south to enjoy some warm sunshine and some R&R. We wish them all a safe and enjoyable trip.
