Some residents of Quyon were without access to tap water after a water main broke on Egan Street.
The break happened on the evening of Jan. 3 with the recent cold weather.
According to Municipality of Pontiac communications director Dominic Labrie, the final tests for the town’s water system happened the night of Jan. 8, but the results weren’t known by press time.
“Hopefully, we’ll be able to lift the boil water advisory [Tuesday] morning,” Labrie said.
Labrie said that when cold water gets into the water system, it can put stress on the pipes.
