With the cold weather descending on the region fast and furiously, it seems drivers on the road were determined to operate their vehicles in much the same way.
Seven accidents were reported on roads in MRC des Collines over the weekend. Out of those seven accidents, four people needed an ambulance to transport them to the hospital.
Police were warning people on the weekend to be cautious with the winter weather rearing its head in short order.
Because the inclement weather descended on the region so quickly, many people had not yet put their snow tires on, which made matters worse. Quebec drivers have until Dec. 15 to install their winter tires.
That, combined with freezing rain and a sudden drop in temperatures, made driving a nightmare on the weekend.
