A 20-year-old woman learned an expensive lesson on Nov. 8 in Bristol after police clocked her going more than 145 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
After the driver set off the radar gun, police attempted to intercept the vehicle. During the interception, the female driver illegally passed two other vehicles on a double solid line.

Eventually, the woman pulled her car over. When police approached the vehicle, the woman was agitated so backup and an ambulance were called.
By the time backup arrived, the woman had calmed down.
She was given two tickets totalling $1,178 and 13 demerit points on her license. Her license was suspended for seven days and her car was impounded.
The driver was released at the scene with no criminal charges, but she may face additional penalties related to the Tobacco Tax Act after illegal tobacco was found in her car.
