On Sunday morning, Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church parishioners were saddened but also blessed to bid Fr. Justin Bertrand farewell one more time, as he celebrated his final . . .

mass with us. He expressed his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the parishioners. Following his homily, Fr. Justin played a few pieces on his violin. Each parishioner, took the opportunity to say their goodbye as he takes his leave to assume his duties in a new parish. We wish him well and hope he will stay in touch as often as possible.

I cannot believe that the school children have resumed classes this week. Hopefully, they all enjoyed their summer. Good luck is also wished to all of those heading off to college and university.

Birthday wishes are extended to Edythe Perry who celebrated a birthday on Aug. 31. We hope that you enjoyed your special day Edythe.

Warm birthday wishes are extended to Mary Pilon of Pembroke, Ont. who is celebrating her birthday on Sept. 7. We hope that you have a lovely day.

Maggie Duff, daughter of Anne and Chris Duff is celebrating her 11th birthday on Sept. 8. Enjoy your special day Maggie.
