On Sept 12, we buried our Uncle Roy Mayhew in Otter Lake, Que. His wife Francis, along with her daughter Judy and husband Jean and Roy’s son Lee traveled from Hanover, Ont. to bury Roy in . . .
his hometown where he was raised. There were 28 people in attendance, by invitation, due to COVID-19.
It seems strange to see all my relatives and not be able to hug them. A lot of relatives drove quite a distance to be there. Maurice and Carole Mayhew drove from Sudbury, Ont., Bobby Mayhew and Rachel Beausoliel from Oshawa, Ont., Freda and Jacques Dupuis from Metcalf, Ont., Ramona Dunahee from Brinston, Ont., Earl and Betty Mayhew from Aylmer, Que., Cindy and Mike Landry from Smith Falls, Ont., Elaine Burke from Arnprior, Ont., Cheryl Mayhew and Dennis O’Connor from Manotick, Ont. and my daughter Shelly from Port Carling, Ont. Then of course there were the local family members.
We had a tasty turkey supper at the Voyageur Restaurant in Bryson after the funeral and were able to talk with each other. I hadn’t seen my cousin Judy in over 50 years so we were quite happy to see each other.
Well, I’m finally finished painting and purging my house and it is officially up for sale. Look on Kijiji or Facebook for the ad.
I have hundreds of frames for sale in all different sizes.
We are finally going to get some nice weather with sunshine this week. Yay! I’m sick and tired of all this rain.
I was talking to my sisters Lynn and Norma in B.C. and they’re being choked with all the smoke from the fires in the United States. They really need the rain there.
