Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to Frances and the Fleming family on the passing of Art Fleming of Chapeau, Que. His retirement years were spent at Northfork in Nichabau. The many people who had . . .
the occasion to visit the homestead realized that he and his wife had not retired but had moved on from their successful careers to putting their hearts and souls in to turning the family farm, Northfork, into a business that showed the true ethics of success. There is an old saying, “Hard work never killed anyone,” and Art lived by that motto. Northfork brought pride to our local communities.
Our sincere sympathies go out to the Turner family on the passing of Viola (Rodney) Turner Fleury of Nichabau. The family lost their younger sister Joan a month ago and now their oldest sister, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on the weekend. She will be sadly missed by her sister Frances (Franny) who was living with her.
Get well wishes go out to Angie Retty of Sheenboro who is recovering from an emergency operation at the Ottawa Heart Institute. We wish her a speedy recovery and her best friend Tess is anxiously waiting on her to return. Also lucky for her she was wearing her medical alert bracelet at the time. These bracelets provided to Quebec seniors, when used properly can save a life.
Birthday greetings and best wishes go out to Roy Perrault,Glen Magill and Gail Sullivan (Sheen) on April 21 and to Colleen Spence Sullivan on April 23.
Stay safe and have a good week.
