Our condolences go out to Nora Smith of Nichabau, Que. on the passing of her sister Joan Mielke (nee Conway).

Congratulations to Art Fleming of Chapeau, Que. who celebrated his 91st birthday.

Birthday greetings and best wishes go out to . . .

Ellie Grace, granddaughter of Lloyd and Debbie Sweeney on Dec. 3, Wanda Dubeau on Dec. 4, Rita Fox, Barbara Walker, Winston Sunstrum and Wilma Meehan on Dec. 5 and Tom Donlan and my great-nephew Dillon VanNuland on Dec. 6.

The lucky winner of $4,800 for the 50/50 monthly draw in support of Residence Meilleur was Greg Morris, son of Tim and Sandra Smith of Pembroke, Ont. The committee is working on creating extra parking and having the yard paved. These large projects would not be possible without your support. The next draw is Dec. 31.

Usually at this time of the year, the Young at Heart Committee of the Upper Pontiac would be busy organizing their Christmas dinner held at Harrington Community Centre. It will be done a bit differently this year. The club has over 200 members. All the members have been contacted. On Dec. 16, for a total of $20.00 which includes our yearly membership, we can pick up a nice turkey dinner and enjoy it in the comfort of our home while keeping safe. A genius way to renew the memberships.
