May 16. They named their sweet little girl Charlotte Rose and she is a first grandchild for Mary-Sheila Keon, John Draper and Paul and Sandra Nugent. Best wishes to the whole family.
Birthday wishes are going out to John Ramsay as he turns 65 on June 1. Happy birthday also to his brother Kevin, celebrating on the same day. Wishing everyone marking special occasions this week all the best.
I hope everyone enjoyed a nice long Victoria Day weekend. It was, of course, more low key but there is real light at the end of the tunnel now with Quebec’s plan to gradually ease COVID-19 restrictions in the coming weeks, and more and more people getting the vaccine. We are looking forward to having life return to somewhat normal and at least getting to visit with family in the near future.
The Adopt A Flower Box program is back in Quyon for this summer. Thank you to Donna Kennedy and her team of volunteers for planting all of the flowers along Clarendon Street last week and for organizing the volunteers who will water and care for them throughout the summer. I will do my very best to keep mine alive. The community efforts to keep this town looking good are greatly appreciated by many.
