On Friday, the rest stop in Wyman was filled with local farmers and artisans selling their wares to the streams of cottagers driving along the highway.
This is the third year the Bristol Market has been taking place and founder Phillip Holmes said they have roughly a dozen vendors.
“We’ve got everything from bath bombs and body butter to lamb, eggs and indigenous plants,” he said. “We’re happy to have a good group of vendors.”
Fellow organizer Daniel Ryshpan added that this year they would be conducting some pop-up markets on the Norway Bay pier over the summer as well.
“It’s the first year we’re doing that, so we’re excited,” he said.
From now until Thanksgiving, the market will take place every Friday at the Wyman rest stop along Hwy. 148, from 1 to 6 p.m.
