The body of an elderly Campbell’s Bay man was recovered from the Ottawa River on Sunday morning.

Police were called after Royal Dubeau, 83, was discovered in the river near the municipal boat launch at around 10 a.m. May 9.

Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau of the Sûreté du Québec said that Dubeau likely suffered a medical emergency and died of natural causes before falling in the water.
