It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Ellard Perry, dear husband of Kathryn Horner. Ellard worked for many years as a principal and teacher at Shawville High School. He also was a devoted husband and father. Ellard and Kathryn are known for their lovely singing and music. They sang at my mother’s wake and it was greatly appreciated.
Many thanks to Bristol Auto who did some work on our car recently and changed the snow tires. They are very friendly people.
We went to Quyon for the breakfast at the Legion. It was a pleasant experience and we met some nice people.
My daughter Natasha did another hair show for Rusk at Casino Lac Leamy in Hull, Que.
Wishing my sister Susan who lives near Belleville, Ont. a speedy recovery as she is having issues with her back.
I also want to express my thanks to people in the recovery room and operating room at Shawville Hospital who looked after me when I had my foot operated on this past week. It was a big difference compared to the operation I had in Hull previously. People in the valley are more compassionate.
I have been watching some of the Invictus Games on TV. It shows us how lucky we are to have all our limbs but these people are still out there competing.
Happy birthday to Brenda Young who celebrates this week.
