This week we are continuing our dive into the Wyman Women’s Institute Cook Book, published on the occasion of the group’s 60th anniversary in 1973.
There are two kinds of people in this world : those who like lamb, and those who are wrong. Just kidding; but in all seriousness, lamb fans do ride or die by the meat. Personally, I think the Shawville Valu-mart’s lamb shoulder chops are one of the sweetest deals in town, and I intend to buy them to make this recipe for lamb chops. Melted butter, breadcrumbs and thyme make for a crispy dinnertime treat. Enjoy them with some mint jelly if you’re feeling particularly Bri-ish.
As always, if you recognize a recipe from either your grandparents’ kitchen or from your own, please write to us. We would love to hear about how these recipes have lived on. Or, if you have any recipes you would like to share with us, don’t hesitate to reach out.
