Witches, jack-o-lanterns and a couple of haunted horses made their way through Otter Lake Sunday afternoon, in the town’s third annual Halloween Parade.
Around 65 people lined the streets as the parade toured from rue Lafleur to the Otter Lake Fire Department, where further celebrations continued with a pumpkin carving contest and more.
Prizes were distributed in a number of categories of participation, though everyone went home with plenty of treats. As well, folks were treated to lunch and snacks provided by Rumours Resto-Café.

The best float was awarded to the Pumpkin Patch, a series of spooky inflatables accompanied by some costumed monsters that rounded out the parade. The best vehicle was presented to the afternoon’s clown car, with a literal take on the name.
Danielle Villeneuve was presented with the award for best costume, donning her witching attire and accompanying broomstick. The best animal award went to Vanessa Vadneau’s horse, who wore a sign reading “Toxic Waste,” with an arrow pointing to its rear end.
Erica Lance’s tiger pumpkin took the prize for pumpkin decorating, while Katherine Morris won the “Guess How Many Spiders” contest.
Prizes for the afternoon’s events consisted of donations from local businesses and organizations, and were presented by Pontiac MP Will Amos.
The event was organized by Rumours Resto-Café’s Crystal Dubeau, with the help of Marsha Vadneau, Laurie Barkley and Richard Lance.
