On Sunday, it was much cooler. It is welcomed after the heat wave that we experienced this past week.
On Friday afternoon, we had a thunderstorm and a mini micro-burst went through . . .
parts of Waltham and the surrounding area. It blew a large tree down on Highway 148 just before the bridge coming into Waltham. As a result, it cut off our power for several hours. Following this power outage, power was again lost just after 7 p.m. in order to repair the lines. It was restored at approximately midnight. Some local streets were also temporarily blocked by fallen trees and limbs. There were no reported injuries.
On Saturday evening, we had another thunderstorm with not much wind but we had a steady down pour of rain. This was badly needed for the farmers’ crops, gardens and flowers.
Little Nolan Béchamp, grandson of Lyne and Ray Béchamp is celebrating his second birthday on July 17. We hope that you have a fun filled day.
