We were saddened to hear of the passing of Romeo Chaput of Pembroke, Ont. He was the beloved husband of Laura. Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts . . .

and prayers are with Laura, family and friends.

Happy birthday and love is wished to my dear friend Betty, who celebrated her birthday on Feb. 22. I hope you enjoyed your special day basking in the warm sun.

It is always nice meeting and chatting with Marlene and Glen Scullion at the Waltham Station Restaurant.

On Saturday evening, there was a Mom Prom Ultimate Girls Night out held at the Waltham Town Hall. All the girls were all dressed up and had a wonderful time. The proceeds are benefiting the Waltham R. A. for their ongoing ball park enhancements.

Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the Kennedy family in the recent passing of Daniel Herbert Clement Kennedy. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Connolly) and brother of the late Molly Montgomery. Daniel was originally from Chapeau but he had moved to Oakville, Ont. where they made their home.

I sure hope that everyone managed to get out and enjoy the beautiful spring-like weather that we had on Saturday and Sunday. They are forecasting 15-20 cm. of snow on Wednesday.

Warm birthday wishes are extended to Diane McKnight and Cynthia Allard who are both celebrating birthdays on March 1. Enjoy your special day girls.
