No more curfew, yay. Our borders are still closed until June 16.

I’m trying to get my second shot so at least I won’t be so anxious when people come near me. This really is a horrible way to live, by fearing all other people. I just want to be able to play cards, visit and have people over for a meal. Most of all I want to be able to see my family and hug them. This isolation is really bad for our mental health.

What a fantastic weekend we had weather wise. Cool at night and warm during the day. I kept looking at my freshly tilled garden and I just couldn’t stop myself from planting it. I had lots of seed left from last year so I didn’t have to buy anything. So, I managed to put in peas, carrots, yellow beans, green beans, beets, onions, potatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, onions, radish, arugula and lettuce. That should keep me busy and out of trouble.

I’m going to try and have a little yard sale this weekend to try and clear out the garage. I do not have any tools but I do have crafting supplies, dressers, tables, all kinds of Tupperware, knickknacks and a lot of other articles. Check out my ad under Yard Sales in this week’s classified section of THE EQUITY. COVID measures are going to be in place.

My sister Lynn and her husband David Leach were finally able to move into their heritage home in Greenwood, BC on Saturday. The previous owners left them all kinds of beautiful antique furniture and a lot of other little goodies including a chainsaw, compressor, lawnmower and countless other articles. They sure lucked out on this place and I know that Lynn is extremely happy to be in her new home and able to cook inher own kitchen.

They took me on a virtual tour of the whole house and the grounds. They have a double car garage with a man cave in the back of it which Lynn might probably confiscate for an art room. They also have an Airbnb space. The whole property is closed in with cedar hedges and iron gates to keep the deer out because there is a lot of wildlife out there. I’m so happy for them to be able to get settled down once again.

This week has been very hectic for some of my friends and my cousin. I can’t get into the details but all I can say is that I wish you a better week than you had last week.

Monday morning I started off the week by washing all my bedsheets and hanging them on the line and refreshing the house. Then I went outside and mowed the lawn and did a little trim and worked in the garage a little bit.

It was so cold on the weekend at night and the hummingbirds knew it was going be to cold so they were feeding up like crazy. I must have had 20 of them at my feeders and I had to refill the feeders the next morning because they drank them dry.

I also have to get the oil changed in the truck and give it a quick wash because it’s so dusty I can’t see out of the windows. It keeps calling for rain but we never get a drop here. The fields around here really need rain and I mean a couple of days of it so things will grow properly.
