Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Pat Amyotte who passed away Oct. 18 at the age of 61. He was the son of Marilyn (Mousseau) and the late Roland Amyotte. He leaves behind his wife Donna and son Mathieu (Marilou) and daughter Laura (Danick Lacroix).

What crazy weather we have been having. Now it won’t stop raining and the forecast says rain for the next seven days. The ground is well saturated. 

I’ve been busy making turkey pot pies, chili, baked beans and lasagnas this week. I sold my house and will probably leave by the first of December. I’ll be taking my pie making business to B.C. where my sister already has established a client base for me. Stock up your freezers and empty mine. I also have apple pies and apple crisps. I don’t know if I’ll have time to make meat pies but I’ll keep you posted.

There is a new scam going around. I had an article for sale on some of our local marketplaces. I received an email from this person saying that they wanted to purchase my rocking chair but she was going to send UPS to pick it up. She said it was going to cost an extra $100 for shipping and insurance but that she’d send me the whole amount. Then she asked me if I got the email from UPS. I said no. She said look under spam mail. There I found it and I started reading the small print and it said I’d have to pay the $100 first. So I just emailed that so and so back and said “ha ha, good one.” Then I got a nasty email saying she was going to sue me and that I was going to jail and other threats. I never answered and they haven’t contacted me since. Just be careful when you are selling things. I contacted the police and UPS about this fraud. You have to be on the alert all the time.
