Happy birthday wishes go out to Maurice Beauregard on Jan. 27, to Cecile Smith on Jan. 28, to Suzanne Pilon on Jan. 29, to Donna Dagenais on Jan. 30 and to Timmy St. Jean on Feb 1.
I was watching CTV news the morning of Jan. 25 and the weather watch picture of the day was a photo of . . .
Litchfield Lake. It is really nice to see pictures sent in from all around the valley. You get to see how amazing our area really is. The beautiful valleys, mountains, lakes, trees, and animals which all make up these beautiful sceneries. We do live in a very picturesque part of the country and we should do more exploring in our own areas. It’s amazing what you can find in your own backyard. I think COVID is teaching us that.
It was really sad to see Merlin Larue’s house being torn down. I find that with every old building being torn down we are losing part of our history. I know it’s called progress but we also need to preserve some of our relics. I hope the courthouse will be named a historical site so it can be kept maintained. If those walls could talk.
Did any of you watch W5 this weekend? The title was Death on the Lake. This story is about the sister of one of our local people, Debbie Hennig Belanger. Arlene drowned in Okanagan Lake in B.C. in June of 2016. First the case was considered accidental but later the husband was charged. A very interesting and complicated turn of events is still unfolding. To read about Arlene’s story and to join the fight for justice go to the Facebook page and look up “Justice for Arlene.”
