On Nov. 23 we had received our first significant snowfall and we got about six inches I’d say. I wonder how long this will stay before winter actually starts?
This weekend, Sharon Crawford came and spent the weekend with me and helped me make meat pies, lemon pies and butter tarts. Yummy. Just to let you know, I have the turkey pot and meat pies ready to sell. I am making a limited amount so first come first served. I also have some . . .
apple pies, lasagnas and beans and I’m open to special requests if I have time.
My cousin, Bob Mayhew, finally popped the question to his girlfriend Rachel Beausoleil on Nov. 21 and placed upon her finger the most beautiful ring. They haven’t set a date yet because of COVID-19 so we’ll have to wait and see.
It’s getting to be a scary world again with shut downs being enforced in different areas. It is so confusing to listen to the rules. Every zone has different rules and shut downs and it’s hard knowing which rules to listen to. Then the rules change daily to confuse us even more. Of course we older people are having a hard time retaining the information. Then just when we think we know what’s going on they change the rules again. It’s worse than being in a maze. So, if you see us going around with a dazed look on our face it’s because we are.
My sister Lynn is supposed to be going in for elective surgery on Nov. 27 in Chilliwack, BC. She doesn’t know until the last minute if they’re going to cancel or not. I also have a cousin Jacques Dupuis who is also waiting for elective surgery and because of the pandemic he too will not know until the last second. It is affecting all of our lives whether we have COVID or not.
