I would like to wish the following people a very happy birthday: Jodie Frost on March 4, Paul Haldeman, Karen Quinn on . . .
March 5, Connie Belland, Lola Dagenais and Wayne Corriveau on March 6, Linda Belland Lemaire, Nick Ladouceur and Shirley Pepin on March 7, Eric Bertrand and Jerry Pepin on March 8, Harvey Smith, Pat Kavanagh and Marie Pilon all on March 9.
We sure had a crazy storm on Thursday and Friday with all the snow and rain. The snow was so wet and sticky it made for a really hard clean up. They had been warning people to stay at home if at all possible to limit the amount of accidents and for easier clean up on the highways. Most people complied and the snow removal became a lot easier and there were not that many accidents.
For those of you who like to get an early start on your garden it’s time to plant our tomato and pepper seeds or anything else that requires a good start. I’m doing mine this week. As soon as the snow starts melting and I can see my garden I get garden fever and no matter how much my back hurts I still have to plant the garden and watch it grow.
I don’t know why, but I get so much satisfaction out of growing my own food and being able to preserve and freeze it for the winter.
It’s also great to be able to share and give away the produce that comes out of the garden. People just love the fresh taste and wonderful flavours and aromas that come from freshly picked veggies and fruits.
