On Friday, local residents had the opportunity to pick up some free trees thanks to a long-standing program by the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks. MRC Pontiac Environmental Coordinator Kari Richardson said that they received 4,000 trees to distribute at multiple locations across the region, with ten varieties to choose from. Bouffe Pontiac used the opportunity to hold a fundraising barbeque during lunch at the MRC office in Campbell’s Bay.
