The Pontiac Terry Fox challenge wrapped up this week, and participants gathered on the PPJ trail in Shawville on Monday morning to celebrate. As of Sept. 28, the group boasted a weekly total was 1,361.12 km, compared to last week’s 2,157.16 km. Their five week total was 7,261.26 km, far surpassing the group’s goal of 5,737 km, the same amount Fox ran during his Marathon of Hope. Participant will still be able to log more distance up until Sept. 30 for a total of 40 days since the challenge kicked off, as this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run, and the 39th edition of the Pontiac run.
