The Equity

This fall has been a busy one for St. Alphonsus CWL members. Card parties have been our responsibility for October through December. Attendance has been good considering the changeable weather conditions. Our thanks to those attending and all the others who have provided prizes.
Our annual craft sale and luncheon was well attended and profitable once again. Shoppers had a great variety of food and craft tables to choose from. The chicken pot pie is always a sell out. The lucky 50/50 winner was Rita Mainville.

The Remembrance Day service was held here this year and Gail laid a wreath on our behalf. Christmas cards will be in the mail shortly.
Our Christmas party will be held on Dec. 11.
Donations from the money Tree will go to Father Tim’s Peruvian Project this year — carpentry and serving centres. First hand reports will come from Yves Lafontaine and his wife who spend several months in Peru each winter.
Many yearly commitments will be looked after in the new year. It is also time to sponsor a free night of skating at the arena. Those skaters really enjoy the rink.
Our annual card parties for our Peruvian Child and the Coady Institute will happen January and February.
Blessed are they who see Christmas through the eyes of a child. May this be your gift at Christmas and your grace in the New Year.
