It is hard to believe another year has come to a close. What a year it has been weather-wise. We will look forward to sunnier days ahead.

Catechism classes finished in May.

Father Tim returned from his sabbatical just in time for some special events. Twelve children received the sacraments of reconciliation and Holy Eucharist on May 26. The following Sunday 16 young people were confirmed. Congratulations to all.

Our membership count stands at 87. We have lost several long standing members this year. May they rest in peace.

Graduation exercises at Dr. Wilbert Keon School take place soon and our donation has been given toward prizes.

Our yearly parish supper draw (Sept. 29) contribution has been given as well. A donation has also been forwarded to the Residence Meilleur committee.

Our June dinner was held on June 11. Gail welcomed all and Father Tim said grace. Father also introduced our guest speaker for the event, Yves Lafontaine. Yves worked tirelessly last summer raising funds for a cause he feels very strongly about. He has enlisted parishioners along with Rotary Club in Trois Rivières to help establish a sewing-crafting centre in the Peruvian village he visits every winter. His slides and presentations were certainly proof of how interested and receptive those people are of his help. We really enjoyed and appreciated his presentation. Yves was presented with a small gift.

Vivianne Mainville was the only recipient of a pin (25 years) this year. Congratulations Vivianne.

Again we wish to convey our thanks to all those ladies who are so generous in donating squares for funeral luncheons. Word of thanks also to our caterer Cheryl and her staff for another delicious roast beef dinner. Their extra help is always so appreciated.

May we all look forward to many happy, sunny days ahead.
