Commuters that use Hwy. 148 to go from the Pontiac into Ottawa can expect regular delays for the foreseeable future.
Roadwork will start up in the Municipality of Pontiac to finish the construction that was started last summer.
One lane of traffic will be closed on the stretch of Hwy. 148 between Terry Fox Road and Maple Road.
Traffic will alternate with the help of a signaler.
The posted speed limit will be reduced to 50 km per hour.
Workers will be present from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday.
The work is expected to be completed around Aug. 10 but the schedule may change based on weather conditions.
