Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to the Duff family on the passing of Leonard Duff, beloved husband of 39 years to Atje (nee Nieuwland) of Allumette Island, Que. He passed away on August 29 shortly after his 67th birthday. The funeral service was held at St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph, Que. on Sept. 3.
A Celebration of Life for David Prentice was held at his home in Fort William, Que., on Aug. 29.
He passed away on Jan. 4 of this year. It was a beautiful get-together, the last of many held at his home. It was very well organized.
A family celebration was held this past Sunday for Clayton Vaillancourt the son of David and Kelsey, who turned three on Sept. 6.
The great-grandparents had a great time watching him inviting everyone to come and join his party.

Winner of the August 50/50 in support of Residence Meilleur was Cory Damaran. The ticket was sold by Danny Isabelle and the pay out was $4.650. The September draw will be October 1.

From Aug. 19 to Sept. 19 the Sheenboro Outdoor Line Dance group is taking part in the Walk Across Canada for Cancer. This is the 40th year for the Terry Fox Run in Shawville, Que.
Up to Sept. 2 the group has danced a distance of 248 km.
