Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to Frank and the Retty family on the recent passing of his sister, Shirley Trembley of Colorado.

Congratulations go out to Rosemary Faludi of Sheenboro, who was the winner of the June 50/50 draw in support of Residence Meilleur. The next draw will be on July 30.

Belated birthday greetings go out to Rosita Ryan and Wendy Walker.

Birthdays celebrated this coming week are Anna Gleason and Evelyn Sullivan on July 13 and Morgan Perrault and Abram Gleason on July 16.

Just a reminder that the local businesses of the western part of the Pontiac are now open. Stop by the Fort and check out the new addition, the Corn Wagon band stand and enjoy the music while sitting on the deck overlooking the beautiful sand beach on the Ottawa and don’t forget the sunsets. Last Thursday, Gail Gavin, Neil O’Brien, Doug Mitchel, Debbie Bechamp and her mom, Maggie, along with other musicians jammed at the Fort in the afternoon. George’s Bar in Chichester has also reopened for Wednesday night fiddling and Thursday evening jamming. Looks like the Pontiac is alive again.
