Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to Rosemary Tallon Trottier and the Trottier family on the passing of her husband Terry of Chalk River, Ont. A memorial mass will be held later in the fall at St. Paul the Hermit, Sheenboro, Que.
A family gathering was held at Hotel Pontiac, Fort William on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate Vince and Lorna Agnesi’s 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone was treated to some tasty homemade cupcakes. Their daughter Carla who works for CBC in Toronto was also home for the occasion.
Congratulations go out to Ross and Judy Carroll who are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary on Aug. 24.
On Friday, our foursome took our first road trip since the pandemic to visit Victor and Linda Des Roche’s flower and vegetable gardens in Oxford Mills, Ont. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers and great hospitality. Later we were treated to a lovely outdoor luncheon by Evelyn’s sister Eleanor and a beautiful dahlia has made its way back to the Sullivan farm.
On Sunday, the Mayor of Chichester Don Gagnon and myself joined with his family to do the Oiseaux Trail excursion in Sheenboro. It was the first time for the Gagnon families of Ottawa to do this trail and they agreed it was definitely a “5 star” with a magnificent view of the Ottawa River and a beautiful fresh water lake to cool yourself off in before heading back on trail.
Also for safety measures it is a must to register each person going on the Oiseaux Trail at the Zec entrance. If this trail is on your to do list, it is a good time to do it now, no bugs.
