Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to Francoise and the Sallafranque family of Chapeau, Que. on the passing of Jerome on Feb. 7. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad time.
Condolences to the Hunter and Hearty families on the passing of Myrna Hearty of Kingsville, Ont. In her early years she attended St. Paul the Hermit School in Sheenboro, Que., class of 1957. Paddy Tallon recalled that she would . . .
sing to them while walking to school.
Congratulations go out to grandparents Mark and Freddi Hungate on the birth of their granddaughter, Catalina Ines Gillis on Feb. 2.
Birthday greetings and best wishes go out to Stephen Sallafranque on Feb. 7, to Erla Picard and Dale Ryan on Feb. 11 and to Earl Lepine, Cindy Wheeler and Hailey Picard on Feb 15.
This past week Andrew Perrault was out sledding with a few locals and put on about 60k. He got to make a drive by and say hi to his buddy Earl Lepine. Every year around this time Andrew and the late Jim Tallon would make arrangements with Earl to have a get-together at his camp. Earl would serve up his famous chicken and dumplings supper. They would have a few, play some cards and reminisce.
Phyllis Miller also took advantage of the nice weather and came riding with Evelyn and me. It wasn’t the Arizona life style she has had for the past 20 years but it was a great Canadian winter day.
Le Club Pingouin has now made it possible, along with the private landowners, to connect to the Trout Lake trail in Sheenboro. Stay on the designated trail and please don’t litter. Quebec curfew is still 8 p.m.
Travel safe.
