Our condolences and deepest sympathies go out to the Smith family of Nichabau, Que. on the passing of their mom Nora Conway, wife of the late Lester Smith. A private service will be held on Friday at St. Alphonsus Church in Chapeau, Que.

Get well wishes go out to Frank Retty who is currently in the Shawville Hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Congratulations to winners of the Chapeau RA Winter Fundraiser. The winners were Billie Jean Sauriol, George Picard,Virgil Dament and Claudia Coutu. The draw was Jan. 31 on Facebook live and a total of $3,120.was raised.

Congratulations to Calvin and Nicole Dubeau of Sheenboro, Que. on the birth of their son Dawson on Jan. 12.

On Sunday, Evelyn Sullivan and I went out for our snowmobile run and as usual, checking out new trails, I managed to get myself stuck in the ditch along the Chapeau Sheen Rd. With the help of Louis Boucher who was passing by and a kind neighbour, we were on our merry way in no time. The good deed was much appreciated.
